As part of the SCP southern office growth, SCP have worked with Barratt London, Dransfield Properties and Land Management to deliver a high-quality development plan for a key town centre site in East Ham which needs regeneration and covers 1.9 acres.

The predominantly non-car development is well-placed in the area to utilise public transport services and is very well linked to East Ham town centre to improve the current retail offering for the town.

Newham Council granted full planning permission for the development and the plans have been referred to the mayor of London for consideration.

The development plans included;

  • 277 flats and duplexes
  • 35% affordable housing
  • Redevelopment of the Market Hall with a new retail mall to provide 21,500 sq. ft. of retail floorspace.
  • New public space as well as a landscaped courtyard and roof gardens

SCP have worked on the scheme for 4 years providing Traffic, Transport and Civil Engineering support for the scheme.

Our support has provided specific documents, which include the following;

  • Transport Assessment,
  • Waste Management Plan
  • Travel Plan
  • Service and Delivery Plan

Over and above this, SCP have also advised on the S278 works and guidance on the Construction Management Plan.
