As SCP continue to grow sustainably, we continue to look for the best talents to fit our team and culture. Our focus is on the character of the candidate as well as their capabilities. After investing in a targeted graduate recruitment drive, we are pleased to announce Anu Kuncheria as our latest team member. Anu is building on her university and sandwich year experience in infrastructure to join our growing Manchester Infrastructure team.
Anu recently graduated from Nottingham Trent University in Civil Engineering with a year’s placement in the Consulting field. Anu said “During my placement, I was involved in developing design packages for highways (section 38 and section 278) and Drainage (including preliminary FRAs) works for residential and commercial developments. The experience showed me the interest and opportunities involved with such schemes and how it can help impact and effect local communities and society in general.”
Upon joining SCP Anu added “I’m looking to start my journey at SCP with a breadth of opportunity surrounded by interesting, experienced and energised people – though I’ve had moved up North from Coventry for this new adventure, I’m really looking forward to getting to know the team, business and my chosen industry!”
Anu joined the design team in Manchester lead by John who said “Anu is a bright and aspiring civil engineering graduate. During the interview process she impressed with her solid baseline awareness, not just of basic civil engineering and highways but also of her awareness of flooding, SUDs and drainage. Her approach to answering the challenging questions we set highlighted potential; not just from a technical perspective, but also the important potential communication skills required of an infrastructure professional.”
John also added “Anu has impressed us with her commitment and bravery to move to Manchester to pursue a career in civil engineering – especially during these challenging times. Hopefully this drive to go for her dream will continue and this is just the start of a fantastic career. We are happy she has joined our SCP team!”
Whilst these are challenging time for all, our approach to sustainable growth focused on people driven problem solving has created a solid platform to grow.
