This weekend, three members of the SCP Manchester office cycled 150 miles from coast to coast, travelling across Lancashire and Yorkshire. The first day involved following the ‘Way of the roses’ cycle route from Morecambe to Ripon, cycling an enormous 90 miles and involved the team cycling up endless hills, including the infamous Settle Hill.

The second day involved the team following their own 60 mile cycle route from Ripon to Scarborough through many picturesque villages, and a lot less hills.

Considering the vast distance and the number of cyclists involved, the team completed the ride surprisingly smoothly – with only one puncture occurring throughout the whole journey. Although sunburnt, tired and a bit saddle sore at the end of the trip, this was a great team-building day out for the SCP Manchester office team members.

The team are now researching their next cycle challenge, although a large recuperation period is required first.
