Planning permission granted for Green End, Mauldeth Rd

Last month planning permission was approved for a residential development comprising 20 new two and three-storey residential dwellings on the site of a former public house, with access provided off Mauldeth Road in Burnage.

SCP initially provided a transport statement seeking planning permission for the residential development. Following the planning approval SCP are now currently providing the detailed design work for this site working with architects Ollier Smurthwaite.

The distinct house designs have been designed to both fall in line with the current properties along Mauldeth Road and provide attractive frontages and create private gardens. The gardens will benefit from low fence lines with the rear elevations are designed to appear as secondary frontages to present a welcoming environment.

The access road, central to the site, leads to four two bed mews houses positioned to the south of the site forming a cul-de-sac. Additionally, this road is designed to access the parking required to service the properties facing Mauldeth Road. As a result the majority of the car parking is concealed from the view of existing surrounding streets.
